	Britax look closely at the results from crash tests and the forces that affect a child in a crash and develop solutions to reduce and absorb those forces. Some key new features that can be found on new Britax Car Seat range are:
	Click and Safe		Britax found from their research that a high percentage of harnesses were not sufficiently tight enough and some were found to be dangerously loose. The new “Click and Safe” audible harness system has been designed to aid you when securing your child into the seat. Once the correct tension is achieved the Click and Safe system clicks!

	Side Impact Protection		A quarter of all car accidents involve side collisions that put a child's head at risk. Therefore Britax has developed a Side Impact Protection system that provides full head containment. The use of high tech energy absorbing and soft deeply padded side wings offers optimum protection.

	Performance Chest Pads		Britax has produced advance chest pads that are a key feature on their new car seats. The performance chest pads control movement by spreading the forces evenly over the shoulder and chest and provide greater comfort.

	Which Car Seat to Choose?
	Infant and child car seats are set into groups depending on weight. Here we have provided a quick chart to help you understand these classifications and which seat is right for your child.

	It is important to use the correct seat appropriate to your child's weight. For example infant carriers group 0+ can be used up to 13kgs rear facing. It is recommended that young children face rearwards for as long as possible. Move onto group 1 car seats when your child has exceeded the weight limit for the group 0+ or their head has reached the top of the infant carrier. Group 1 car seats can be used from a minimum of 9 kilos up to 18 kilos or when your child's eye line is higher than the seat's highest point. The next stage group 2-3 should be used from a minimum of 15 kilos to 36 kg's.
